ICT Services at OUT:

The Institute of Educational Technology strives to facilitate in attaining a world class status through distance teaching using a variety of educational technologies as regards to the quality of OUT staff, students, research output, and consultancy and quality ICT infrastructure Currently the Institute of Educational Technology is comprised of five units namely the Instructional Technology [African Virtual University Learning center (AVULC)], Computer Hardware Maintenance, Database Management, Desktop Publishing (DTP) And Audiovisual Unit ([David Anderson Africa Trust (DAAT)].

OPEN AND DISTANCE ELECTRONIC LEARNING (THE ODEL CENTER)

ODEL is an infrastructure provided with enhanced internet bandwidth (VSAT) and acts and act as a physical hub for the creation, organization and sharing of knowledge and development of ODEL programmes. The ODEL project is a logical continuation of the capacity building efforts of OUT in so far as Information and Communication technology (ICT) is concerned. It is built on the earlier success of the African Virtual University (AVU).
