Open university of Tanzania established international students office to bring students and faculty together in meaningful exercises that empower both local and foreign students to think globally. The office named Directorate of International Affairs (DIA which  was under the Office of DVC Academic. The office was located in Block D second floor . The named Directorate of International Affairs (DIA)extended its services in countries such as Kenya, Namibia, Malawi, Burundi and others

Directorate Functions and Contact

Directorate of Links and International affairs Office was established as an effort to improve student’s services in foreign countries, and the functions of Director and Head of department of Directorate of Links and International affairs Office  are the maintenance of a positive relationship and a sense of mutual connection between the International admission office and the larger admission offices at DLIA. manage all international student services and strive to increase enrolment of international students and retain the existing students.improve the marketing strategies with our embassies and our sister institutions abroad in order to attract potential applicants as much as possible.

The Administrator of the  office has the function of  receiving calls and respond to emails from officials within the university and our clients in foreign countries. to maintain the data base and attend any other issues related to payment of tuition fees and must respond to queries promptly. Also has to walk around from one office to another to ensure all queries in the register are handled accordingly by other officials across the University.
