INTERNATIONALIZATION AND CONVOCATION
The Directorate of Internationalization and Convocation (DICU) was established in July 2018 under the Office of the Vice Chancellor. The Directorate coordinates international activities of the University including foreign admissions, international collaborations, student exchange programmes and marketing of OUT programmes globally. DICU works closely with various university units to facilitate services for international students including admissions, examinations and academic records. It also promotes partnerships with local and international institutions through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The Directorate plays a key role in strengthening OUT global presence, increasing international student enrolment and maintaining relationships with partner institutions and alumni. Additionally it ensures that opportunities in research, consultancy and teaching are fully utilized through international collaboration.

Support international students from admission to graduation

Coordinate convocation ceremonies

Application Procedures for Postgraduate International Students
- Apply through the Online Application System (OAS) via the OUT website. https://pgoa.out.ac.tz
- Upload scanned original certificates and transcripts (all in PDF format).
- Ensure certificates obtained outside Tanzania are verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and attach the verification results, Consult International office via iso@out.ac.tz for more details
- Make sure the name used are the same as it appears on your previous academic certificates.
- Submit a research concept note (max 15 pages) for Master's by thesis or PhD applications.
- Pay a non-refundable application fee of USD 30 (system generates a control number).
- If selected, receive the admission letter via your application portal

Alumni Registration at the The Open University of Tanzania (OUT) is a formal process that enables graduates to remain connected with the University and its academic community.
