Duration
The course shall be completed in three years in all modes. However a student can extend to a maximum of eight years for a distance mode.
Programme Structure
The programme structure has three levels. Each level is equivalent to two academic years, assuming an average learner. Details of the courses in each level are provided in the table below

Note:
- Registration fees, student organization fees, identity fee, and quality assurance fees are paid during registration.
- Tuition fee is paid on instalment dependents on the number of units the student intend to study in a particular academic year

Upon completion and passing all courses including field practical, a student will be awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing degree of the Open University of Tanzania.
The programme aim to enable student to acquire relevant knowledge and skills for making better marketing decisions that will be in the best interest of their businesses, organizations and the country’s economy at large. Graduates of this programme typically will find employment in fields such as marketing research, advertising, public relations, marketing communications, and retail management.
All courses are examined during the academic year in which they are studied
Examination consist of one timed test and written examination
- Test account for 30%
- Written examination account for 70%
