Diploma In Library And Information Studies(DLIS)
The Diploma in Library and Information Studies is the qualification that will give learners knowledge, skills and competencies to work in libraries and information centres. Students will learn about the information industries, information collections and how to manage them, including how to classify and catalogue library materials, manage collection, provide information services, carry out stock taking, maintain circulation of materials and enter and maintain library data.

Candidates holding the following qualifications will be eligible for admission into this programme:
- Possession of a Basic Certificate in Library and Information Studies (NTA Level 4), or any other relevant programme at a similar level, (with not less than four passes in O-Level Secondary Education)
OR
- Possession of Advanced Level Certificate with at least one principal pass or three subsidiar

This qualification is intended for a person who will be able to classify and catalogue library materials, manage collection, provide information services, carry out stock taking, maintain circulation of materials and enter and maintain library data.
Assessment will be organized around Continuous Assessment (CA) one Main Timed Test (MTT) which will count 30% of the total marks of the course and a Final Examination (70%).
