Dunlop Ochieng is a senior lecturer and dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at The Open University of Tanzania. He received his Ph.D. for his research on the indirect influence of English on Kiswahili in Tanzania from TU Chemnitz in Germany. He is interested in language contact, language and new media, language and literature and communication skills and culture. He has been teaching and researching English in Tanzania, language and gender, language and culture, language and technology, language in contemporary literature and language in social interest.
