Department of Economics and Community Economic Development (ECED)

Department of Economics & Community Economic Development (ECED) is one of the six departments hosted under the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). The department was established with the main aim of enrolling students from Tanzania and other parts of the world who wish to become Economist, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) experts and Community Economic Development professionals.

The department offers Certificate, Diploma and two undergraduate programmes; Certificate in M&E, Diploma in M&E, Bachelor of Arts in Economics (BA Economics) and Bachelor of Community Economic Development (BCED).

There are also three postgraduate programmes; Masters of Science in Economics (MSc. Economics), Masters of Arts in Monitoring and Evaluation (M.A. M&E) and Masters of Community Economic Development (MCED).
